AUTA bids farewell to Professor G. P. Pandey, marking the end of his dedicated 27-year service to both the Department of Mass Communication and Assam University. Throughout the event, members of AUTA and attendees took a moment to reflect on their personal connections with Prof. Pandey and acknowledged his substantial contributions to the Department’s development and national acclaim. Joining Assam University in the summer of 1997 as the Reader and Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Prof. Pandey ascended to become the longest-serving Head of the Department and eventually the Dean of the School of Creative Arts and Communication Studies. Notably, he also held the position of Central Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Assam University upon his retirement.
